Friday Bulletin & Diary Dates – 7th September 2018

7 September 2018

Dear Parents and Carers,

We’ve had a fabulous first week back at school. Our new Reception children have settled in very quickly and have already managed two full days in school. It was lovely to see the other children return to school with big smiles and lots of stories of summer adventures.

This week has been full of art and innovation with children from Year 3 to Year 6 visiting the Great Exhibition of the North. Thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped supervise the children on these visits.

All our children had the chance to experience Futsal this week. This exciting, fast-paced sport is a different format of football, played across the world and is officially recognised by both UEFA and FIFA. The children thoroughly enjoyed their taster sessions and will hopefully be interested in playing Futsal again.

Visit the FA website at http://www.thefa.com/get-involved/player/futsal to find out more.

Good luck to everyone taking part in this weekend’s Great North Run, Junior and Mini Great North Run. A special message of good luck to our very own Mrs Anderson Harrison and Mrs Hood.

Have a great weekend.

Yours sincerely,

 Mrs A Whistler

Headteacher
