Road to Rio – Whole School Salsa

We put on our dancing shoes to launch the Kells Lane ‘Road to Rio’ week in school.  We celebrated the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio by taking part in lots of different Olympic sports including: archery, fencing, rowing, golf and gymnastics.  

Kells Lane gives huge support to the Children’s Cancer Run 2016

The Kells Lane community came out in force on Sunday 15th May to cheer on our school team at this year’s Children’s Cancer Run held at Newcastle Racecourse, Gosforth. The Two Steves visit KS2

As part of the Northern Children’s Book Festival, our KS2 children thoroughly enjoyed the engaging and extremely funny ‘Game show’ assembly delivered by The Two Steves. Let’s get reading!

Year 6 help their local community

This morning, Year 6 helped their local community by planting 15, 000 bulbs. Thank you for your hard work everyone. It’ll look lovely in Spring. 

Children in Need 2015

  Thank you to all of your contributions today. All the children enjoyed their special Celebration Assembly sharing their favourite cuddly toys with smiles. All of the children have raised £488.82 so far but we still have some final donations to come…an amazing amount of money for such a wonderful event.

Remembrance Day

11 November 2015.

Remembrance Day Today has been a very special day. From visiting a spitfire at Joseph Swan Academy to our special Remembrance Day assembly, all of our children have shown respect and worn their poppies with great pride.
