The Secretary of State for Education, Justine Greening, was the keynote speaker at the Schools North East annual conference yesterday. She talked about her passion for school improvement and collaboration between schools. I was particularly pleased to hear her talk about the potential of children and young people in the North East, and their role as future leaders. The Secretary of State did also say she would be making an announcement related to primary schools in the coming weeks; I will of course keep you informed.
Year 4 had a fabulous time at Dukeshouse Wood this week. I would like to say an enormous thank you to the staff who accompanied them: Mr Colligan, Mr McIntosh, Mrs Hutchinson, Mrs Turnbull and Mrs Dutta.
I hope you have a lovely weekend.
Mrs A Whistler
