Friday Bulletin – 1st December 2017

1 December 2017

Dear Parents and Carers,

I think it’s safe to say winter has well and truly arrived. This week’s snow is a timely reminder to check that school has all the correct contact details for you and other family members, this is particularly important should we need to contact you urgently.

Schools do everything they can to remain open in adverse weather conditions. During severe weather conditions, such as flooding or snow, schools are required to stay open for as many children as possible. Occasionally, headteachers have to make the decision to close their school for health and safety reasons, including inaccessibility or risk of injury.

Should this situation arise, you will be contacted initially via text message so it is very important you update your contact details regularly. We will also post a message on the school website and on the Gateshead school closures website.

The snow and Christmas decorations are making our school look very festive. I would like to say a huge thank you to Mr Barrett for donating two beautiful Christmas trees. We have a busy month ahead and are looking forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming events.

Have a lovely weekend.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs A Whistler
