Friday Bulletin – 30th June 2017

30 June 2017

Dear Parents and Carers,

Many of our children are Snapchat users. Last week SnapChat launched a new feature. SnapMaps allows users to see the location of their contacts. This feature allows others to accurately pinpoint where you are.

There are three possible privacy settings:

  1. Ghost mode, where only you can see your position;
  2. My Friends mode, where any contact can see your location; and
  3. Select Friends mode, just those who you choose can see you

I urge you to read the information ChildNet have posted; follow the link for a thorough explanation of SnapMaps and how to ensure our children stay safe. Further reading: Introducing SnapMaps (ChildNet)

Next Friday afternoon, the school council will be hosting a summer auction at school and would be very grateful if you could come along to bid for some of the items on offer. The auction begins at 4 pm – please do come along and show your support for our playground project. Thank you.

Finally, don’t forget our Saturday morning transition event tomorrow. Doors open from 9.45 am and teachers will be sharing information about their year group at 10.30 am. I hope you can join us; you will also be able to visit the food market afterwards!

Yours sincerely,

Mrs A Whistler
