9 December 2016

Dear Parents and Carers,

The Kells Lane Choir and Orchestra were invited to perform at Eldon Square in Newcastle today. The children did a fabulous job of entertaining the shoppers, as well as encouraging them to part with their hard-earned Christmas cash in aid of the North of England Children’s Cancer Research. We raised an amazing £230.40 and I was incredibly proud of everyone involved. Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who came along to support us; I’m sure you were very proud too.

Special thanks to our orchestra volunteers, all parents (and amazing musicians) who regularly devote their free time to nurturing our children’s musical talents. The children are inspired by working with them each week and have progressed so much since the orchestra began in February. Great things lie ahead in 2017!

Next week is a busy one in school. I hope you have a restful weekend.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs A Whistler

Headteacher
