Dear Parents and Carers,
We had a wonderful time with Year 6 in Wales last week. The weather was glorious and, as I’m sure you have seen from the photographs, the children had a fantastic time. The activities ranged from trips to the beach, to climbing the walls of Caernarfon Castle on Anglesey and exploring the slate mines of Llechwedd. The children’s behaviour was exemplary throughout the trip. I hope they have many happy memories to last a lifetime.
I am delighted to tell you that the Hobbit House is now open for business! The children have been exploring it today and have timetabled slots during break and lunch times for the remainder of this term. I would respectfully ask that you only allow your child to access the Hobbit House before and after school if you are supervising them. I would also like to stress that, due to its height in certain areas, the Hobbit House is only suitable for school age children. Your supervision before and after school is crucial as school cannot take responsibility for any accident that occurs outside of the school day. Thank you again for your contributions; we are looking forward to the next phase of development.
It looks like the sun is going to shine this weekend so I hope you are able to make the most of it.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs A Whistler
Headteacher
